David is a serial innovator, leadership coach, author, speaker, community builder, and philanthropist.

He is known for creating high-performance teams, being a bridge builder between two cultures - business and technology - and leveraging disruptive technologies and innovative program management to deliver competitive advantage and sustainable results with speed:

  • Created 7 successful startups inside companies generating $1B+ across industries: Boeing, Capgemini, IBM, and Wall Data (that he helped take public in a $52 million IPO)
  • Co-founded in 2005 one of the first graduate business/law clinics in the nation at Seattle University. Based on the Grameen Bank micro-enterprise lending model, the clinic, now in its 13th year, has served over 300 clients and 200 students, and has created and grown 650+ jobs.

David experienced, first hand, Marshall Goldsmith’s proven leadership development approach from his mentor, Alan Mulally (CEO of Boeing Commercial Aircraft and CEO of Ford).  He leveraged Alan’s Working Together Program Management  and Marshall’s Stakeholder Centered Coaching to create MyBoeingFleet.com, improve Boeing’s Chairman’s Innovation Initiative (a $200 million corporate venturing fund), and delivered 4 years of complex work in 2 years, and generated $100M+ in operational benefits over 3 years for BC Hydro.

Due to Alan’s and Marshall’s mentorship, David chose to become certified in Stakeholder Centered Coaching in April, 2017.  He was both inspired and deeply humbled when Alan nominated and Marshall selected him for the MG100 Coaches global “pay it forward” initiative last October: www.marshallgoldsmith.com/Welcome

David’s MG100 mission: “working together, we can strengthen the fabric of goodwill and leadership that exists in the world.”

Last November, he was elected Rear Commodore of the storied racing club, Corinthian Yacht Club of Seattle.  As a pro bono leadership coach, he is introducing Stakeholder Centered Coaching to the club, its members, and its community.  He intends to cross-pollinate Marshall’s leadership development approaches to CYC member’s companies in the Seattle area and extend nationally by leveraging the “network effect” of yacht clubs.

Ventura Project Group

Innovative, Meaningful, Profitable, and Sustainable Businesses

David, a Seattle native and serial innovator, leadership coach, author, speaker, community builder, and philanthropist, founded Ventura Project Group in July, 2003.

Clients say he is a creator of high-performance teams, a bridge builder between two cultures (business and technology), a disruptor and change agent, and an innovative program manager who delivers competitive advantage and sustainable results with speed.

Through his startup experience in all sorts of organizations, Gallimore quickly recognized that visionary leaders really needed a trusted advisor who could combine both business management experience and entrepreneurial spirit to realize their innovative, business startup ideas and to develop their own and other’s leadership skills.

And so, Ventura Project Group was born.

We apply the same model that works in small business to create entrepreneurial sprit in any organization. Through the Gallimore Innovation Method, Alan Mulally Working Together Program Management, and Marshall Goldsmith Stakeholder Centered Coaching, we help leaders work better together to create and grow innovative, meaningful, profitable, and sustainable businesses.
